Guest guest
Sometimes im my meditation of gan patee I´ve stopped because after cleaning out energy i feel afraid, as soon as i drink a beer i feel more grounded in my lower chakras the next day instead of this vague sense of anxiety. Will these feelings pass and why do i feel less creative and grounded as i deepen my practice? Or is this just a stage that will whereas if i stop and drink a beer the next day i feel more grounded. It seems paradoxical. -Chris DSL Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less
Guest guest
Dear Chris: What makes you feel ungrounded is not the meditation and it is not the fear, it is your desire to escape the fear. When you drink a beer you successfully escape the fear, so you don't feel like escaping it anymore and you are more grounded. but at what cost? Instead of letting yourself be tempted to avoid the feeling of fear, allow yourself to explore your fear that way you'll remain grounded. Don't be scared of being afraid. That secondary level of fear is your choice and you don't have to do anything about that except notice it and choose not to do that anymore. Feel the fear and at some point if you feel it completely, you'll see that there's nothing to fear. or you'll start laughing out loud at how silly it all looks from your new perspective. Best wishes, and blessings, Awtar S. Rochester, NY
Guest guest
Dear Chris, are you sure you don't just feel more "normal" after having a beer...more like you usually do? We all have a tendency to be a bit afraid of, and resistant to, new states of being. This creates the anxiety, which if you were anticipating the change and embracing it would manifest as excitement. Anxiety and excitement are exactly the same energy but filtered through negative (fear, resistance) or positive (love/joy, anticipation) thoughts. As we meditate we open ourselves up, this in itself can be a bit fear inducing since it requires being vulnerable. Fear will also dampen creativity. Often when we meditate we focus on our higher chakras and forget to ground ourselves (since sometimes we go towards meditation as a way to escape the world...another reason why meditation in action can be a very useful grounding technique because it requires being in the body not trying to escape the body Have you tried grounding meditations? Focusing on being connected to the earth? We need the fire of the first chakra to create, manifesting the etherial in the material world requires a respect and love for the material world and our connection to her. Any physical activity done consciously will help you to ground...from walking and running to washing the dishes or gardening (tending to nature is one of the best ways to do this). Also, you can ask for help from whatever higher power you align yourself with in the process of learning how to ground yourself. Your meditations may also be bringing up some old anxieties you've repressed and are becoming ready to clear. Have you meditated on the anxiety so you can begin to know what it's root cause is? The process of meditation is very much about becoming conscious of how our thoughts, feelings and then urges towards action are interrelated. We can only do this when we are in our bodies consciously. This anxiety may hold a very liberating gift for you if you take the time to listen to what your body is trying to communicate blessings and love on your journey ovasoul Kundaliniyoga, chris charles <ccharles79> wrote: > > Sometimes im my meditation of gan patee I´ve stopped because after cleaning out energy i feel afraid, as soon as i drink a beer i feel more grounded in my lower chakras the next day instead of this vague sense of anxiety.
