Sat Nam!

My name is Thomas (28/Paris/France) and I'm really glad to have

joined this group. I'm an absolute beginner but yearning to learn. By

the way, it would be lovely to meet people practising KY in Paris ...

I have a question about food and specifically about onion, garlic &

ginger.

I've read in "Kundalini Yoga: The Flow of Eternal Power" (great book

- and really fun to read too ;o) about the 'trinity' mentionned

above, and I try to make it a basis of any meal I cook. Nevertheless,

I've read on a website (http://www.kurma.net/faq/q1.html) that such

products (onion & garlic) are 'detrimental to general health,

meditation and devotions', because classified as rajasic in Ayurveda.

What do you all think of this? Is this because KY is rather from a

north indian culture? I don't have a clue.

Thank you,

All the best,

Thomas
