Hi Sue,

Yes definetly. Kundalini Yoga does have a connection

with the Sutras o Patanjali.

The sutras of patanjali divide the Yoga practice in

eight aspects which are:

Yama: nuestras actitudes respecto a lo que nos rodea.

Niyama: nuestras actitudes hacia nosotros mismos.

Kundalini Yoga works in all of them in one way or

another. As a matter of fact, Kundalini yoga is very

complete in this sense because in a sesion it

incorporates a lot of these aspects, with the Kriya,

breathing exercises, meditations, mantras, mudras,

bandhas, focus points of concentration, etc... :)

Best Regards,

Sat Nam Sue,

if a yogi wants to deepen his understanding, (his

experience) of yoga, it is a good idea to contemplate

the "Yoga Sutras of Patanjali",(whatever branch of

yoga you are attracted to) there are many books out

with translations to his sutras...

Patanjali is to yoga...what Buddha is to Bhuddism (was

how he was described in a few of the books), he was

considered a very wise man who applied the science

behind yoga, (is the way I understood it)...

How I have chosen to absorb the teachings was that I

incorporate it as part of my daily contemplation

time... I take time to read a little & then I journal

my thoughts on what I've taken in... to deepen my

understanding...

hope this helps (:

in loving kindness, Jiwan Shakti
