Guest guest
Sat Nam, I completed the 40 day sadhana which included the Sodarshan Chakra Kriya a week ago. After the first 2 or 3 days I was able to retain the breath, with a relaxed body and mind. The sense of panic and fear that I may never breathe again was very short lived. I hope to do a much longer concentration of the meditation at some point in the future, but with teacher training, am changing what I do with each new 40 day chunk of time. This period I am including long Ek Ong Kars. I have never chanted them alone. Long Ek Ong Kar brings such tranquility to the beginning of my day. I received my spiritual name from Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa this week, Guru Gopal Kaur, which means princess/lioness who protects and sustains others with wisdom. I feel so blessed, humble and expansive all at the same time. The message also said the name meant I had potential to be a great teacher which is my heart's desire. Well, that and being a gracefully aging hippie! In the short 4 1/2 years since I began ventured into the world of Kundalini yoga amazing changes in my being have occurred. The practice has deepened my commitment and ability to be of service to others who have suffered alcoholism and drug addiction, allowed me to become a human among humans and to know Ang Sung Wahe Guru. Thanks to everyone who participates in this group. Guru Gopal Kaur (Joan)
