sat nam everybody,

lots of conversation these days about cleanses and fasts. one of my

questions is this: do you have to do less, activity-wise, while on a

program like this? my work is fairly physical (housecleaning) and i have

an 11 year old, so it's not much possible for me to chill out for a

couple of weeks. would it kill me? :)

thank you,

seattle sue

Sat Nam Seattle Sue,

On days when you can eat melon, you can eat lots of melon, if that's any

consolation. It's those 4 liquid days in the middle that will be the

challenge. Maybe you can time it to coincide with a long weekend. Regarding

the 11 year, maybe he can help you in some way. What I'm saying is entertain

what it would take to make it work. Never say never. Much of what we usually

call "hunger" is appetite and/or comes from an emotional need to put

something in our mouth. If you need some perspective on this and what real

hunger is just hang some pictures of the uprooted people from Darfur.

Believe me, we Americans don't know what hunger is.

When our blood sugar gets a little low, do you know that Bow Pose will help

even things out? Yeah, rolling forward and back, holding your ankles will

make you feel better. It's not something you'll want to do in the Mall, but

you can. Then, of course, lay out for a couple of minutes.

Sat Nam,
