I didn't see my name on your list--Donegal, central

Jersey shore. I shared the kriya with 20 students

this weekend. I have begun since Friday and will

probably do twice a day for the 40 days. Two of my

students said they would make honest attempts to keep

with it for the 40 also.

sat nam everybody,

i wanted to assure daniel and donegal that you both were indeed on my

list...maybe not the version you got of it, but the version i made of

it, yes!! your names are still on my altar with the others!

i take it some people are setting out on a 40 day nabhi kriya adventure.

i have a friend who is off-list who'd like to join too; did people

settle on a date for starting? i read both today and 3/3 offered as

possibilities. i was originally only trying for a one-day extravaganza,

but i did the kriya the next day and today as well...so who knows where

this will lead. i'm not going to commit to doing it for 40 days, though.

just, well, because. :-)

sat nam jis!!

Sat Nam all

I too understood it was a one day extravaganza. It was amazing on

Saturday although it did elicit a rage response for moments which I

found very odd. I just finished 40 days of Awakening the Ten Bodies

with the Laya Yoga meditation and decided that rather than start

something new I should continue with this for an additional 50 days to

make a total of 90 days. I have to say that as a meditator I find the

kundalini has a way of getting in and around aspects of myself that I

thought were comfortably addressed so to speak. I have decided to

continue with the 10 Bodies and the Laya meditation because I have such

a visceral resistance to some of the exercises. So I want to just be

with this set for a time and see what there is to learn there.

Does anyone know what the chant: Ek Kong Kaarah, Saa-Taa-Naa-Maa, Siree

Wha Hay Guroo means? Other than the Arm pumps I am most resistant to

this chant and I am curious as to its meaning.

Ek-Aumkar is Nanak's name for God. Satnam means one true name. Sri wahi Guru means praise to the revered teacher. These are all Sikh jargon and I personally do not see any relation between Sikhism, a religion barely known by westerners, and Kundalini Yoga, a scientific method of gradually awakening Primal Force that began thousands of years before Sikhism was established.

This deceptive and covert conversion (practitioners don't even realize that they have converted to another religion) was just Yogi Bhajan's personal agenda to be recognized as an important personality within his religion, it doesn't have anything to do with the real Kundalini Yoga. Yoga is a philsophy within Hinduism (one among the 6 major schools of thought) and within Sikhism.
