Help! I have a question about this set. In Gururattan's Relax and

Renew, 2B, do the hands remain with the pinkie fingers interlocked as

Breath of Fire is done through puckered mouth?

I am to teach this set as part of my teacher training practicum and

would really like to do the set as intended.

Thank you &

Sat Nam,

Guru Gopal

Guru Rattana is in Austin TX teaching a level 1 teacher training course

until the end of this week. I'm sure she will reply when she gets back to

San Diego.

Sat Nam!

Sat Nam Guru Gopal,

In studying this set it seems to me that the difference between the

effects of 2 and the next posture is that they were on different sides

of the Adrenals and that the only obvious difference in execution is in

the breath used. So I would say keep the pinkies interlocked for both.

I imagine you may have come to the same kind of conclusion a ways back

as you had wanted to use this for your praticum.

All the Zest,

Dharam

Sat Nam everyone!

I wondered the same question and found a friend that was taught at new mexico

at KRI Level 1 training to return the hands to the knees for ex3 to easy pose.

It would be interesting to hear Guru Rattanas response who wrote the book!

Sat Nam Craig,

Pinkies are important! Breath is important. Together, this is a

loaded category all by itself.

Do you know who that person was? You will get different people giving

different interpretations working from the same information. We are all

doing the best we can. I would hope that someone, somewhere asked Yogi

Bhajan before he passed, what was the proper way to do this series.

This is a set given by Yogi Bhajan and is also part of the KRI Training

Manual. It's been around (e.g.

http://www.sahej.com/adrenal-kidney_one.htm ).

Gururattan may have been the one present when this set was written down

and maybe she has a personal recollection to draw from. Someone was there!

Lets wait and see,

Sat Nam,

Concerning the Set on Page 58 of Relax and Renew --

Sorry I am so late in responding to this email. It got lost in all my

emails I received while I was at Teacher Training in Austin.

As Dharam said keep the pinkies interlocked for both part a and b of

exerciese 2. Changing the breath is how the 2 sides of the adrenals are

affected.

All the sets for the adrenals and kidneys should have pauses between

exercises so that the stimulation to these organs gets integrated into

nurturing energy. Also make sure that you are expanding the kidneys on the

inhale. I have students put their hands on the kidneys before the set and

at times between exercises to make sure their their inhale is feeding energy

into the kidneys.

Sat Nam,

Gururattana
