Guest guest
Sat Nam Gabriella, Ghee is magical stuff. You're wise to use organic because ghee goes right into your tissues, and it will carry anything you put into it; herbal preparations, nutritional support, whatever - right along with it. Ghee is one of the foundation foods for building Ojas (the subtle glue that binds/holds together body, Mind, and Spirit). Almonds, milk, garlic, onions and ginger are also good. Our level of Immunity/sense of self( http://www.sahej.com/Ahamkara.html ) is directly proportional to the level of Ojas in our system. It's real easy to make and can even be produced by "accident". You can heat butter just to the point of where it might want to boil, but NOT boil, and leave it there for an hour or more. Separate off the stuff that rises to the top and leave the stuff that gathers at the bottom. Below is recipe from Archives and it's how I make mine. Sat Nam, Dharam Kundaliniyoga/message/21789 Recipe from Gururattana Here is a great way to make ghee, discovered by myself. Make it in a crock pot. Add 5 pounds of butter or any amount you want to make. Turn on crock pot to high. If leaving overnight, put on low. When there is a crust (or lots of foam) on the top that you can scrape off, do so and spoon the rest into glass or ceramic containers, not plastic. Throw away what remains at the bottom. Totally fool proof. I have left mine up to 2days and it is still perfect.
