"Across every woman's life falls the shadow of a sword, wrote Virgina Woolf.

On one side lie tradition and order, where "all is correct." On the other, a

life that does not follow convention. And there, wrote Woolf "all is

confusion."

That's where writer Elizabeth Gilbert set her compass. She was a

professional woman, in her mid-30s, limping out of a failed marriage, a

brutal divorce and a flamed-out love affair.

Elizabeth Gilbert hit the big road in a desperate search for redemption and

herself. She went to Italy and the pleasures, to India and devotion, to Bali

and rebirth. Not a bad trip, if you can swing it, and she has, in a big, big

way.

Soul seeker Elizabeth Gilbert talks about her new book "Eat, Pray, Love."

Is Hobo short for Homeward Bound?

Do you know what Homeward means? Do you know what Bound really is?

Hi Krishan Shiva and Kathleen ,

Thanks for your taking the time to respond and share your experience. I

get pretty excited about a good story, share it, and then naively expect

people to be as excited as I and then end up wondering if anyone listened

when there is no response.

In MY perfect universe we would all be doing Sadhana together, listening to

NPR (or Pacifica) and reason would prevail in all areas of our lives. I like

to think of it as radio a mother could nurse her child to.

Sat Nam,

I've just finished listening to the interview-

Eat, Pray, Love I can't wait to read the book now.

I am presently 3 months post surgery, and it has been an incredible

experience recovering. I am healing everyday by listening to the

wisdom within. It really IS there, and it really DOES work.

Kundalini Yoga has made a huge impact in my life, outlook, attitude.

Thanks to this group of wise, loving, gifted souls.

Sending you blessings and light,

Kathleen

Dearest Dharam,

Thank you so much for posting that link. Having almost completed 29

laps around the sun myself, the things she talks about are close to my

heart right now.

I lay back on my bed this evening after getting in from teaching

class... checked my emails, clicked on the link and listened...and

then just smiled... feeling grace touching me... speaking right to

me.... guru's words floating from my speakers into my ears.. and

straight to my heart.

Hearing someone else expressing the same feelings, issues, hopes and

fears, having the courage to raise the same questions and to TALK and

then SHARE about it all... was very healing.

It makes me realise just how important it is to be able to connect in

a meaningful way with others, so that we can know, we are NOT alone..

that we all go on this journey, walking on our own two lotus feet, yet

together, reflecting back on eachother. 11:11

Thank you Ji,

Sat Nam,
