Guest guest
Sat Nam!, Three days ago I felt a shift in my perceptions my usual neurotic thinking has vanished and I feel grateful to have KY in my life peace to be my true self. For two years on and off I tried to do this meditation with consistency but would always falter missing a day or feeling overwhelmed or would have a drink. The difference has been this/ For 30 days I've been chem free and also I've started very slowly and am currently doing 7mins a day starting from 5min. Before Id do 31mins and get overwhelmed and stop. I usually do mahan gyan kriya because it works on my first chakra and eliminates the pain from past traumas but for three days Ive had no need because of sodarshan. This has been a needed signpost on my path and a wlecome pitstop. Sometimes doing KY you feel lonely because it seems no else shares this desire for cultivation of higher consciousness and people look at me like Im crazy when I talk about this phenomenon or say it might be psychosomatic. I want to thank the stalwerts of this group Dharam and others for taking the time to write inspiring personal replies to my questions when i felt i was down. Without the support of this group i wouldn't have acheived this small victory. Something tells me there will be more bumpy road ahead but for now its smooth sailing. Guest guest
Wow, that sounds awesome. I've also tried sck but never with consistency. How long have you been doing it this time? I feel like my life is a constant battle against all this subconscious garbage that sabotoges all my attempts to pull myself together. By Mahan Gyan Kriya, do you mean Mahan Gyan Mudra, with your upper arms out, parallel to the ground, elbows bent at 90 degrees, thumbs holding pinky and ring finger down w/ index and middle fingers extended? thanks Ardas

Guest guest
Sat Nam Chris, yes you are correct in assuming we'll have more bumpy rides and in knowing that this too is part of life... I would like to add what the Master Yogi Bhajan says in regards to this... I never said that life would be easy...what I can tell you is that with the teachings we have the tools to make life easier... wahe guru! in loving kindness Jiwan Shakti Kaur --- chris charles <ccharles79 wrote: > > Sat Nam!, > Three days ago I felt a shift in my perceptions my > usual neurotic thinking has vanished and I feel > grateful to have KY in my life peace to be my true > self. Guest guest
Yep, this the kriya index and middle fingers extended arm parallel to ground breath in through mouth exhale through nose 11mins, hurts but worth it after keep subconscious bandits away for a day. Try Sodarshan for 5mins im currently 7mins and keep going everyday its like digging for gold eventually you will hit, also no drinking or smoking. I drink green tea that about as strong as it gets. i was doing both kriyas until one day angry thoughts were really surfacing i felt a pressure in my head above my right ear did my night meditation and next day woke up feeling at peace with myself for the first time i can remember in a long time. Keep up and you'll be kept up take my word for it. Sat nam, Chris
