Guest guest
Someone asked about Breath Walk a while back. There's a book titled Breath Walk by Gurucharan and Yogi Bhajan. It is available in major bookstores. There are 16 different walks with different breath patterns to adjust our nervous system and brain connections. These walks all use the finger tips pressing on the thumb tip in rotation and in rhythm with the footsteps and the breath. The book is well worth buying as it gives a wealth of information I did not find for the most part elsewhere. Guest guest
Breathwalk is a wonderful program. Here is the website http://www.breathwalk.com/ I purchased the Book and also purchased an accompanying Cassette and booklet that has 4 different walk programs on it. Each walk is 30 minutes long and has a Kundalini warm up and cool down phase and an inner walk, so you can take up to 45 to 60 minutes depending on if you do the excersizes for 1 -3 min. I love getting out of my office each day. I wish they would update the Cassettes into CDs, but I was able to convert the Audio into MP3s and then put them on my MP3 player. Since they are audio you don't loose alot of quality in the transfer. Gi-aan geet bandhaanang Bind yourself with the song of God. Thank you -Ann >"Rebecca" <montana_diva >Kundaliniyoga >Kundaliniyoga >Re: Kundalini Yoga Breath Walk >Thu, 30 Mar 2006 21:14:05 -0000 > >Breathwalk is a wonderful program. >Here is the website http://www.breathwalk.com/ > >I purchased the Book and also purchased an accompanying Cassette and >booklet that has 4 different walk programs on it. > >Each walk is 30 minutes long and has a Kundalini warm up and cool down >phase and an inner walk, so you can take up to 45 to 60 minutes >depending on if you do the excersizes for 1 -3 min. > >I love getting out of my office each day. Guest guest
Dear Ann: You can adapt it to pushing a stroller. Now Breath Walk involves careful attention to body posture and movement as you walk: feet alignment, hips, straight spine, inhaling deeply including the upper chest, and also finger tips touching in turn the thumb tip. And swinging the arms with leg movement but left arm forward when right leg moves forward. If you are pushing a stroller, it will be difficult to be attentive to what is happening inside your body while walking and doing all the different things that need to be practiced. It is not easy to do without pushing a stroller! Now you can still get some benefit by adapting it: breathing in the stepwise manner described in the book but omitting the fingering motion would already give you something valuable. Guest guest
Sat Nam Ann, I would go for it, ensuring the spine is straight. The 3 of you vibrating Sat Nam & Wahe Guru, what a beautiful thing to share with your babies!
