Guest guest
SAT NAM Ji's Last week, I started to share yoga with women once a week for the next 8 weeks. The first class went great, in fact I mentioned at the very beginging that I am only going to share simple excercise and not teach as I am not authorized. After tuning in and some of the breathing excercises people shared amazing experiences which baffled me, one student said that she saw a yogi (fat and with a orange light around) kinda with me while sharing excercises, I felt so much energy while teaching the class, it was amazing, the room was resounding with "ONG NAMO GURUDEV NAMO" and "SAT NAM's". I ended the class with corpse pose with Snatam Kaur's music "Its BY THY GRACE.." After I came home, I could feel yogi's power everywhere, the next day of my, self yoga practice was 3 times powerful than my regular practice. I was kinda baffled by all this experience and YOGIJI's power, I only wanted to share some simple back stretchs, SWAMI RAmdev's breathing techniques with them as they had some physical problems!. Ever since my second reading of "ANATOMY OF MIRACLES" I find that I am mostly trying to be in a space where I am allowing all sensations , feelings ,sounds equally and living in the moment and hold the intention to heal and relax always. Is this the right thing to do? I am curious to know if this is the sacred space. I sometimes feel tremendous enjoyment and happiness by being like this in everything(nature, beauty, sounds etc etc) Please advice and share your thoughts, cant wait to hear from Awtar, Ovasoul, Dharam ...etc and all others on this list. Without you all I wouldnt have been where I am now... Lots of Love and Gratitude, Akkama New Messenger with Voice. Call regular phones from your PC for low, low rates. Guest guest
Dear Akkama: First of all, congratulations! You showed up. That's all you needed to do. You showed up, meaning you planned to teach and you did it, and you left your ego aside by tuning in as reverently as you did. It is great to practice: "to be in a space where I am allowing all sensations , feelings ,sounds equally and living in the moment and hold the intention to heal and relax always." That is the beginning step. The sacred space is something that goes beyond feeling sensations. The way there is exactly as you describe. At some point your awareness takes over, soars if you will (and yet remain grounded somehow, you don't leave your body), without the need of sensations any more. That is the best I can do to talk about the experience of the sacred space. A teacher of Sat Nam Rasayan like Gurudev Singh could tell you when you enter that space and when you leave it. Often we need to be told because we may not notice the subtle difference. When we are told that we touched the space, then we can take some mental notes on how it felt and look for that experience again.
