Tina:

I would suggest you purchase the manual: Survival Kit: Meditations and

exercises for stress and pressure of the times by Yogi Bhajan, compiled by

Elandra Kirsten Meredith and Alice Clagett.

This will help with meditations to deal with grave situations, sudden shock

things like that.

There's a nice set to conquer sleep disorders in Sadhana Guidelines

(go/start.cgi/store/shop.html?showcat=p )

Now you also need to accept everything that has happened in your life and

how you responded to it. Accept yourself and circumstances as completely and

gracefully and compassionately as you can. It'll get better.

Best wishes and blessings,

Awtar s.

Here's a link for you:

i know a lot of these meditations are in the book that

Awtar Singh recommended.

One piece of dietary advice I can add is to cut out

all refined carbohydrates - sugar and flour. maybe

try cutting out all wheat too for a while.

Good luck and love, Ardas

Dear Tina,

Guru Dev Singh gave me the following meditation to keep my brain from

going back into shock after my daughter's murder. This was very

powerful for me and brought forth many tears, but left me with a

feeling of peace.

Sit in easy pose. The eyes are closed.

Arms at the sides of the body with the elbows bent so that the forearms

are paralell to the floor.

The left palm faces down, the right palm faces up. No bend in the

wrists. Maintain this position for all three parts of the meditation.

Long deep breathing through the nose. Suspend the breath on the inhale

but not on the exhale. 11 minutes

Long deep deep breathing through the nose. Do not suspend the breath

on the inhale. Instead when you inhale deeply, inhale some more to

really fill your lungs. Then exhale. 11 minutes

Breath of fire for 5 minutes.

Finish with deep relaxation lying on the back.

Best of luck. Sat Nam, Prithi
