sat nam everybody.

what does the kundalini tradition think of dreams? do they have some

meaning or are they just movies playing in our heads while we sleep? i

recently had three dreams, three nights in a row, about 1) my house

being robbed, 2) my car breaking down, 3) my lover seeing another woman.

heh. then i got to take a break until last night, i dreamed i was at a

reunion of my college, mixing with other alumnae, a whole bunch of high

powered women, wondering what i am doing with *my* life.

what would yogi bhajan say (w.w.y.b.s.!! bumper stickers, maybe?)?

thanks and hey! i hope everybody is feeling happy, healthy and holy!!

sue in seattle, where daylight savings time means we get some Real Long

Days!!! w00t!!!

Dear Seattle Sue:

I don't remember the exact words Yogi Bhajan used about dreams. Something

like they are the result of unexplored emotions. He used to say that he

never had dreams; that dreams are a waste of energy; that we need to get up

in the ambrosial hours especially to avoid repeating endless dreams as that

period of the night is no longer restorative.

Now in my experience the meaning of dreams is usually in the feelings that

we experience as the result of the dreams. Sometimes they are informational,

giving us directions for the future and sometimes they are a celebration of

what you have accomplished to get you to be aware that you have accomplished

something you may not have known how important it was.

In the case of the dreams you mention, I need to know how they each made you

feel to be able to guide you further.
