Guest guest
Dear Karyn: I don't remember seeing an answer to your questions regarding cold showers. When you have a cold without a fever it is still appropriate to take a cold shower. If you have fever associated with the cold then you have to test for yourself what works best. In some cases I feel my body struggles enough with regulating it's temperature and in some cases I feel that flushing toxins via a cold shower helps. If you are scared to lose your voice, I don't think a cold shower would affect that. I think something else is at works that could be emotional: fear of speaking up or something of the sort. Guest guest
Thank you for your astute reply, Awtar S. I am working through A LOT of things including when to speak up and when to keep my truth to myself (especially in a very complex relational reality) and I know that losing my voice and even getting a cold were ways my body was talking to me about this process. Now I am over the cold and have my voice back but am just in a place of noticing my resistance to even jumping in the cold shower and getting up early enough to have a full practice before my boys are up needing me, etc. There is always so much more to learn. Thank you for responding to me. Karyn
