Namaste.

My name is Shelly. I am a 30 year old mother of 5 children living in

Connecticut. I have been married for almost 12 years to my wonderful

husband John. We homeschool our children and are bringing them up to

respect all faiths and love everyone for their uniqueness.

I first heard of Ammachi several years ago when after taking a class on

Ayurvedia at the NY Botanical Gardens. I wanted to go see her but had no

one to watch my children for me or a way to get to NYC from Connecticut

at the time. Again the following year I heard she was coming back and

this time it was fear that held me back. I don't know why.

Recently several people have e-mailed me the Ammachi web site and then a

book arrived at my home called "The Path to the Mother". I love this

book I have to say and am going to order some of the books on Mother's

teachings that I saw on the web site. (any suggestions of which one to

read first?)

I have an opportunity again this year to see Ammachi in NYC next week.

My husband has even offered to stay home from work that day to either

take me into the city to see her or to stay home and watch the children

for me. Again I am a bit nervous to go but I am looking forward to it.

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I look forward to

meeting others on the list.

Blessings of love,

Shelly
