Dearest Devotees~<~*

Om Namah Shivaya! I am new to this list, but already I can see that

everyone is enjoying this path Amma has made for us, and we're all enjoying

it in different ways, different but all so amazing! I am amazed by Mother

every day. I'm sixteen (good ol' sweet sixteen) and the idea that Mother

will STOP amazing me ever is absolutely preposterous.

I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme Park yesterday and I'm always

shocked by the stream that most teenagers seem to float down on. I watched

my fellow teenagers walk around with their jaws constantly moving up and

down, gossiping or chewing their ever plentiful supply of gum, adjusting

their usual lack of appropriate clothing, fixing their hair so it looks just

right for everyone else to see, and often walking arm in arm with another guy

or girl ...Amma must laugh at us teenagers every day! But I've found more

and more that it's not very hard to get off that shallow path. Waiting in 2

hour lines for a 7 second roller-coaster, I chanted my mantra, and looked for

Amma in all the faces around me. At the very tiptop of a 100-foot drop on a

roller coaster, I saw Amma in everything and everyone around me, below me and

in the mountains that I looked down on.

I'm not sure if you're all very familiar with the ride 'Superman'... If

you can picture the shape of an 'L'...we are going straight up that 'L' in a

car, 415 feet (that's a 41- story tall roller coaster) at 100 miles per

hour. Well, you stop for about 6.5 seconds at the top, where you become

weightless because you are so far into the air. So, I threw 9 pennies into

the air (I'm sure you all know about the significance of the number 9 in

India, and around Amma...it's a very spiritual number!) and the coins just

floated there, weightless. It was amazing-what a sight, watching those

pennies shine in the night sky and hover above all 15 of us in the car, as we

seemed to float in the sky. At such moments, I can't help but think that

anything is possible, and that the love we have for Amma can release us all

from the bondage of this earth. It can lift us into the sky and into Amma's

arms. We can become weightless, like clouds and join Mother in Her immense

bliss.

Sorry to ramble on and on so much, but I feel that you are all my true

family, and if I can't share such profound little moments with you, then

there is no one else to share with. Om Amriteshwariye Namaha...and may our

hearts all beat for Amma at the same speed of the fastest roller-coaster on a

beautiful summer day!

Love & Light to you all~

Vandya

I want to thank both Ronjani and Vandya for such beautiful messages.

Since I joined this group, I have felt blessed to read the messages

sent, and today I feel especially touched. After the Rhode Island

retreat I seemed to have an especially difficult reentry into my life

here, and it only seems that yesterday and today I am beginning to feel

more like me.

Ronjani, thanks for the reminder about St. Francis. As you know, he is

special to me also. Yet, how easy to forget his example and that prayer

that has been so important for so much of my life.

Vandya, how delightful to read how you keep your focus on Amma even in

circumstances when it would be so easy to be pulled into other thoughts

and vibrations! What a wonderful reminder/example for all of us.

In Amma's love,

Prana
