Guest guest
Hi Bala and others! I LOVED the idea of God being a snob! In Sanatana Dharma, we are fortunate enough to have something called "Ninda-stuthi" or Prayer of Criticism! This is a school of prayers, where the devotee derides, complains, and files complaints against God! To me this form of prayer is even more intimate and fruitful than the prayers of supplication. As I had mentioned earlier, I had sung a song, where the poet asks, "Mother! Is your heart made of steel that you have yet to open my inner eye?" I recall a song sung by a famous Indian singer Mohammad Rafi "Badi der bhayi, kaba loge khabar more Ram" - It's been so late, when will you take care of me, O Rama? In the song, the poet says, "If you turn a deaf ear to my pleas, you are the one who will be shamed!" Don't you think such prayers will go, straight like an arrow and hit their mark? So, my dear siblings, once in a while, leave your seat of patient waiting, prayerful mode, happy surrender and give in to impatient tirades, threats, criticism and chide Mother, "AMMA, WHEN WILL YOU LISTEN TO ME?" As Saint Theresa or someone said, unless we shake our fists at heaven, what is the guarantee that our intent is intense and that it will be answered? So, looks like even in the divine realm, it is the squaky wheel that gets the grease! With love and humble prostrations, Jai Ma!
