Guest guest
Dear Divine Sibs, Received this from a friend in Amritapuri - Greetings from Amritapuri! (Okay, from the Internet cafe in Kollam...) Amma's birthday came and went on this side of the planet. It was a spectabular event, don't know the numbers of people, tens of thousands for sure, although there was talk that the crowd was smaller than expected. The boat races were quite something to behold, 40+ men in huge row boats racing up the backwaters. Amma's new temple was completed in time, and She had Pada Puja there with Swamiji and Krishnamritaprana Tuesday morning, then received people all day until 6 pm, turned around and by 7 or so was singing bhajans, then in Devi Bhava in the "old" temple until 7:30 the next morning. To see Her radiant and pulsating with Divine energy at the end of all of that was once again a reminder of Her divinity and how lucky we all are to have Her as a Mother... The look on Her face was exactly that...radiant. It was clear that She was in total bliss after what would seem to be an intolerable ordeal to any ordinary mortal. Just glowing, looking very...searching for the right word...can't find it so will say...cosmic, God intoxicated, otherworldly. Thanks for reminding me of that moment with this great report from back home. Jai Amma! Eknath
