This past July in NYC was my first expierence with Mother. I was terrified she

would turn me away. I know others shared this but for me it was also because my

birth Mother and I had not been talking for the past two years. I read so much

about Mother and her calling people daughter and I was sure that I was not

worthy

at all of any type love from her. I had felt this way about my own birth mother

for years so I suppose I assumed it would be the same with Ammachi.

 

When Mother held me she said "mata, mata ,mata......daughter daughter daughter

daughter daughter" I just sank deeper into her embrace. And as I have shared

before I felt as if I was transported to a differnt world or even perhaps into

the womb of the Goddess herself. I have no words to describe the feeling.

 

Well just 2 weeks later my birth mother emailed me. She was ill and wanted

prayers

for a upcomng sugery. I was thrilled to see the email and replied as fast as I

could. Since then there has been some major healing between us. And I shared

with

my birth mom about my Spiritual Mother.

 

I know this is Mother's doing. As each time an issue from the past comes up with

my birth mother that I must address and I begin to worry it will cost me to have

her go away again. I think back to that darshan and Mother's words and embrace

and

I know she is there to guide me .
