Hi, my name is Bruce and I am new to this board and to Amma.

Being with her this week in San Rafael has been incredibly wonderful.

There are so many ways I could talk about what I experienced, but

none really say it all. I just feel so, so grateful!!

 

I have a question for those who have been around Amma for

awhile. I wonder how you find yourself relating to external world

events, like what is presently happening in the US with this so very

curious election dance? There are moments when I really would like

to have the focus to just tune it out and focus on matters of the

soul, like the fourth wife in the above post. I would like to find a

way to just not make it too real.

 

At the same time, I find what is going on there incredibly

interesting and compelling. I watch myself making it very real and

having a strong hope for the best outcome for all beings. I find

myself following the developments with much interest and also some

attachment. I've been asking myself whether it is best to see all

that as a distraction and temptation from going deeper or just to

trust and accept the fact that that is where I am.

 

I would be interested to hear from others who have dealt with

this sort of inquiry and hear what you have come up with.

 

Also, what might Amma say about this topic?
