Guest guest
Beloved Brothers and Sisters in this group, What a shame that this most lovely and beautiful group has now been soiled by the temptation to introduce gossip about anther's Ishta Deva. I have been a devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba since 1971 and still am to this day. I met Amma almost 7 years ago when many of my Sai friends spoke about the remarkable love and compassion this being radiated to all who approached Her. My first Darshan of Amma was lovely and that night, She gave me three dreams. All of Baba! And I know they came from Her as grace. I have continued on my path with Baba but never miss the opportunity to have Darshan from the Divine Mother Ammachi. She has enriched my spiritual unfolding and I will be ever grateful to Her. On some occasions I have even wished She was my Guru instead of Baba! How lucky you all are to have such easy access to Her. How fortunate you all are to be able to have Her hold you close and fill you with that Divine Love that only she can dispense in Her special way. Can anyone ever forget Her touch? Could anyone ever forget Her smile? For whatever reason, it seems that following Baba is my path in this incarnation but that path certainly does not exclude recognizing that other Masters, Divine Teachers, Avatars and Saints have all taken birth at this very difficult time of the Kali Yuga to help in the unfolding of mankind's spirituality. After all we have received in grace, can we really afford the spiritual luxury of throwing mud at the beliefs of others? Especially when these truth is being distorted. A web site called "the Sai Critic has a complete analysis of the India Today article that was posted here. You can find it at: http://geocities.com/the_sai_critic/today3.html I have been many times to the clubs and have read all the current allegations and I want to tell you all that to open yourselves to this type of negativity can be perilous. Yes, there are stories about Baba, but I have also read the lies they speak about your Beloved Amma. Would you really like to open yourselves up to that filth?! And it is not only Ammachi and Baba that are the current targets. Jesus, the Virgin Mary, the Buddha and many other truly great spiritual master and Saints are currently the object of whatever best pushes the buttons of the Devotees. (See how the number of messages to this group has increased since certain material has been submitted.) From my own personal experience, I have often felt very unclean and dirty after reading some of these "messages." However, I did feel that I would be guilty of trying to "ignore" all this if I just pretended it didn't exist. I felt I had to read some of this because my own ego couldn't stand being called a "deluded Devotee" that knows nothing of the "real Truth." One whose head is perpetually stuck in the sand of their own unreality. There are times now I wish I had never let my eyes see some of these words that are being used. I have felt deep sorrow for followers of Christ and the Buddha. I am deeply embarrassed (my ego that is) by the stories about Baba. The emotions get very stirred up. Equanimity is hard to hold on to. Some may say this is the best way to "test" your faith. But I think now that I feel it is better never to allow this type of rumor to invade your own center of peace. I personally feel that much of my own "innocence" has been lost by the reading of this material and I offer my own opinion that one should think very hard, with heart, mind and with much spiritual wisdom before opening this Pandora's box of parasitic gossip. It is interesting that the word "" is used in "Gulliver's Travels" to describe a race of brutes. And yet that very same word sounds like the Hebrew "yahu", which means GOD IS VICTORIOUS. It's all in the way we see things. And here we are only seeing one side of the argument. As all the masters tell us, that which we see in others is merely a reflection of what is in our own hearts. I submit the above thoughts in reaction to some of the messages that have been posted here the last few days and beg your forgiveness if I have offended anyone. That is not my intention. May Amma bless us all and may we all one day return to our source. Jai Ma, Jai Sai Ram, Shawn
