I have a couple of children who have a few nightmares and I know this will help very much. Would love it if you would share the prayer you said as a child if you would. He's a deity that traditionally gives strength and courage (both mental and physical) to the seeker, and takes away illnesses of mind and spirit. If you feel more comfortable addressing it to Amma, I am sure it will be just as well. I can testify that it worked! If you like, I can give you the little children's verse I used to say (it's in Malayalam...); but I am sure any prayer would work.
