Dear friends,

A quick note regarding translations below:

"Jagadhambe" is one of the names of Devi, meaning "Mother of the World".

In the line, "Viswasam Tamnnay", I think the second word must be "Tarannay"

(Malayalam for "give" or "grant")

Also, the line "Raskhikyu Amriteswari" should read "Rakshikyu Amriteswari"

(the 's' and first 'k' in 'Raskhikyu' should be transposed). Malayalam for

"save" or "protect."

I offer these suggestions humbly; please feel free to use them if you like.

Also, I was wondering (I might have missed this posting); can anyone tell me

where to send a check for the work Amma's Mission is doing in Gujarat.

Thanks in advance.

Om Namah Shivayai,

Usha

About this time last year when Swami Amritaswarupanda was visiting the San

Ramon ashram, he sang that prayer just before the arati. It's beautiful.

The words below were passed out:

Sakthi Ta Jagadambe

Bhakti Ta Jagadambe

Premam Ta Jagadambe

Viswasam Tamnnay

Raskhikyu Amriteswari

AmmasKenna (Premarupa) and Uma tell me the translation is:

O Divine Mother, Grant me strength, Grant me devotion, Grant me love, Grant

me faith, And thereby protect me, O Divine Mother.
