There is no word that can be transcribed 'tamnnay' in Malayalam.

I think it was a typo. The word, as I have heard it in San Ramon

many times, is 'tannenney' or 'tannennay' (the last syllable

rhymes with 'bay'. It is a concatenation of 'tannu ennay'.

'vishwasam tannu ennay rakshikyu' means (translating each word

in isolation),

'faith, having given, me, save!', or colloquially, 'give me

faith, and (thereby) save me'.

That could very well be what I've heard. Your scholarship is much

appreciated. Is there anyone on the list who has heard Big Swami sing this

(the source) who could put it on a tape for those of us who are yearning to

learn it? I learned it from Rasya and Haran in December, but Rasya was a

little shakey on the harmonium part and finally just sang it a cappella. So

it's the first part I'm not sure of, though the rest I think I've got.
