Guest guest
Dear Peter and other Divine Siblings, Intellectually, many of us know about God with Form, the Formless God, Dvaita (Duality) and Advaita (Non-duality) etc. At this time, I speak only from my perspective: I am definitely not at the stage of having realized that God and I are one. I wish I was! But, since I am not, the concept of "I am God's Child" is very strong in me. From the time I met Amma, She has fostered that in me. Over the years, I have seen proof how how unique our individual connection to Amma is. As rightly pointed out by someone, A Realized Master tailors the instructions to suit the innate nature of each disciple. Hence, I enjoy the Compassionate Watchfulness of Amma from within my heart. She talks to me in my heart, if I care to listen! There are times (more often than I would like!) when my fears, worries, pre-occupations have made me turn a deaf ear! When I am in Her physical presence, like a true, caring Mother, She advises me on issues ranging from the seemingly mundane to the highest abstruse philosophy. Even if my inner being knows the underelying oneness of God and His Spark (like the bed of a river), I enjoy the apparant difference of the opposite banks on the surface. Dear Peter, all I wanted to clarify that, for me, God's watchfulness is not like the watchfulness of a policeman, CIA or FBI (hostile in nature!), but the careful attention a loving Mother has upon Her tiny infant. Her gaze is filled with an overflowing love, concern and care, like the gentle rays of a warm, cozy sun. It warms the very depths of our being. The child too instinctively reciprocates, basking in the cozy comforts of the Divine Lap. Mother takes the baby, from time to time, hugging, nudging and playing with the infant. She tickles and the baby laughs its toothless laugh, gurgling and chirping. This too is a DIVINE UNION of the Mother/Child. Lastly, I don't want to BECOME sugar, I want to eat sugar! Jai Ma! Guest guest
Hi Chandrika. Perhaps even those awake to unity enjoy devotion referring back to That as well. This is a beautiful lila after all, & devotion with compassion is wow! Love differentiates from unity to taste Itself. Yeah? Just what I heard .. So to me It Is Love Is duality, & duality is Love in form. Guest guest
To quote Shankara, "The intellect imagines duality for the sake of devotion." -- Love differentiates from unity to taste Itself. Yeah? Just what I heard .. So to me It Is Love Is duality, & duality is Love in form.
