Guest guest
It is true that we believe there is no REAL separation between the individual and the cosmic consciousness. It's one thing to know the theory, it's another to have the realization of that experience. Someone who has never tasted suger may say a hundred times that "sugar is sweet", but it is not the same as the experience of having once tasted it. The water in the river is the same as that of the ocean, but the river cannot call itself the ocean as long as it is defined by its banks. When our egos have fallen away from us, there will be no difference between the Guru and us. Till then, I know Amma watches over me. For God to be "watching over" implies a separation between God and us. It is a statement that God is not us and we are not God. Please consider that there is NO SEPARATION between God and us. We are God. God is us. Period. It really hurts me that there is so much separation in so called "Christian" churches and in their beliefs. It cetainly was not the teachings of Jesus. >>
