Guest guest
Dear Friend, If this is any consolation to not being able to visit India, I have visited Amma's ashram in Kerala a few months ago, and while I felt VERY happy to see her there, I can say that in general, we have it much easier outside India in terms of seeing and spending time with Amma. The crowds in India are SO large, and the ashram itself so busy and humming with activity, that I found that in comparison, Amma's visit to New York is akin to a quiet retreat in atmosphere! My parents, who live in Kerala now and whose home Amma had visited in Calcutta for puja and darshan, see her from a distance among the crowds and pray to her quietly without lining up for darshan (which they feel since they have had several times should have precedence by someone else). In Palakkad where they live, the crowd easily reaches over 100,000 on a single day, while our averages are in the thousands!! The demands on Amma are a hundred-fold compared to the access we are given to her here. We are very lucky, I think.
