Guest guest
Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!! Namaste dear sisters and brothers!!! i received this letter forwarded to me by a dear friend, and fellow Amma devotee...who had been sent it from India...by a friend of his, with whom he had collaborated upon the production of a couple CD's of music for Amma's Bookstore...very nice music, i'd recommend it.. anyways this forwarded letter is telling some of the sister's experiences on tour with Amma...it was so lovely that i thought of you darling sisters and brothers...and how you also might like to have a chance to read it....so here we go...just below.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Perhaps you want to hear about the tour? I do not know where to begin....so much happens and the best things are indescribable. In general i got a lot of chances to be close to Amma. A few times i could massage Her for up to fourhours at a time. (Etre valare Bhagyam allo!)One time i was massaging Her sitting up on my knees and leaning forward which was an excruciatingly painful position to maintain. It is Her favorite thing to put us through blissful agony or agonizing Bliss!!! After two hours i thought my muscles would fail me and i might collapse, so i decided to change positions for a few moments and rested all my body weight on the elbows while i massaged Amma's hips.....Sheimmediately turned around and said, "What are you doing?Sleeping or what? Do it on the upper back!" She just doesn't budge an inch when it comes to torturous luck...Another time i was holding the hot water bottle on Her back and i turned around for a brief moment to exchange theluke-warm bottle with a new hot one....then Amma turned around and scolded me.."Why are you looking elsewhere while you are doing this work, Shraddha-ille? (Don't you have anyShraddha?)And She made me stop...for which i was grateful since it was definitely causing me physical pain. But for all that, i am so happy to have such long "Darshans" and contact with Her. It was almost as if she wanted to make upfor all the time that i am away at AIMS. We all got to visit Amma in Her cabin on the train from Delhi to Calcutta and Amma answered people's questions ingroups of fifteen for ten minutes each. I got to be in the doorway for the group preceding mine, so indirectly i actually got a double dose. Isn't our Amma kind?Lots of interesting swim stops en route. At one place Amma spoke to us at length about AIMS problems and Advaitamrita and other issues. It was amazing how She openly discussed everything in public and had it translated for all theWesterners as well. Her main point was that people in general do not make enough monetary donations and that all of Her projects are funded primarily through the selfless service of Her devotees like making Dolls, Cassette tapes (at which time She looked directly at me with a long penetrating gaze) Multi-media, etc. and selling them on the tours. She said: "I even let them sell my clothing, including bras and underwear, to make money for the poor". Then She commented later:"You children's pure service is my only wealth". It was extremely touching.I get a feeling that we should begin working on a third tape soon. So far we have one song...your Hrim Kali, for which Anu has agreed to put a new tabla track. Any inkling of a plan to come back to India next year???? (Hint Hint).More later. Patients waiting. In Amma's Love & Light, rama devi ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For those who are interested, this Wednesday the 25th will be Karttika Nakshatra...that is the Moon will be transitting thru Krittika, Amma's Birth Star...and thus there will likely be big Kali Pujas in Her centers on that day...this Sunday evening will also be a little Shivaratri, as it is the day before the new moon...hopefully there won't be any significant earthquakes around THIS new moon, as there have been for the last three! May She bless all of you always, with pure Love of Her Lotus Feet. In Amma's Divine Love and in Her Service, as ever Your Own Self, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!!
