Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya! My dearest siblings in Amma, A week ago I was in the hospital with a bacterial pneumonia in the bronchials. Thanks to Amma's grace, which came via an antibiotic that turned the infection around, I would not be writing this. It's a little eerie that that conversation with Kali at the Ashram last year (acute infection in the eye) also required an antibiotic. The other eerie thing is that if I had passed, it could have been exactly one year after my sister died. She was born one year ahead of me, and the pull was very powerful. I'm afraid mantra was not on my lips as I coughed and crept closer and closer to that doorway. So it's a good thing Amma has given me some more time to practice. Thank you for all of your prayers and support. I'm slow catching up, but it has been lively. Nice to be back at satsang. With gratitude for Her Grace, I offer the following from Lex Hixon and Ramprasad. O mind, pay clear attention. Turn around and rectify your basic error. You imagine that you have lost your point of origin, and you wander about desperately seeking what is already the root of your own being. The path to the original source is ecstatic love. Consider how intensely you love your most intimate companions and direct that much tender feeling toward the Mother of the Universe, who is pure awareness. Your body is a crystalline structure, its atoms like diamonds. When these atomic pattern separate, the body is destroyed. Can any structure in the universe exist as separate individuality? Contemplate deeply! Discover nonduality. There is only Mother Reality! The singer of this gnostic hymn declares: "My Mother, source of creativity, expresses fully through all her creatures, moving about subtly, secretly, and blissfully within her own essentiality."
