Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!!

Namaste to all of Amma's Darlings!!!

my dear sisters and brothers! i have just spent several hours, in

scanning, playing with on the photo program, and uploading some

pictures of our Amma from a few years back...they are pretty sweet,

but some of them are not so great picture quality wise...not as clear

as could be...and although i had reduced them ALL to the same

size...3X4, for some reason Amma must have decided to make some of

them much larger than the others...with much more kilobytage...i can't

figure that one...they were all in the same Kb area before they were

uploaded...and some of them uploaded with two to three times the

kilobytes of others!!! so some of the pictures are pretty large, like

that Amma Devi bhava in red and blue...quite similar...

Also dear sisters and brothers, i indulged myself a little further

after some exchange with Usha (another member of the list)...and have

since uploaded some lovely pictures of Mother Kali in several

different forms...one is a copy of the picture that Srimati Sarada

Devi worshipped every day...another is a picture of the Bhavatarini

Kali Murti from Dakshineswar, the One in Whom Bhagavan Sri Ramakrsna

found His Beloved Divine Mother Kali...and finally i have also

uploaded a couple of pictures of Kali from the Kalighat Temple, one is

in "human form" and the other in symbolic, almost "nirguna" form...as

a round black stone, painted with Her Three Eyes, and dressed in Her

clothes...

As Our Amma has installed Bhavatarini Kali in Her own Temple, and in

fact had ordered Her to be carved by the VERY same family, who had

carved the original Bhavatarini Kali Murti for the Dakshineswar Temple

in the 1850's...the One Who was worshipped by Bhagavan Sri Ramakrsna

Paramahamsadeva...so Amma's Kali statue is a "Younger Sister" to that

Divine Mother Who is dwelling in Dakshineswar...and this indicates a

strong relation between Amma and Sri Ramakrsna as well as Mother Kali

Herself...Personally i feel that Amma IS Mother Kali, Who took a birth

after so many many of Her children were calling out to Her over the

last century and a half...Sri Ramakrsna, Sarada Devi, and all their

devotees, as well as Paramahansa Yoganandaji, Who worshipped and loved

the Exact same Kali Murti in Dakshineswar...(See in His Autobiography,

"The Heart of a Stone Image"...and another chapter or so, in which he

was learning from M, the Devotee who recorded the "Sri Ramakrsna

Kathamrita", or the "Gospel of Sri Ramakrsna" as it is called here..

in fact dear sisters and brothers, that Great Soul, "M", Mahendranath

Gupta, was living in the EXACT same house where Sri Yogananda used to

live as a child, and in which his mother had died!!!

As "M" was worshipping His Divine Mother Kali, one day, Yogananda

arrived to meet Him (Sri Yoganandaji was always on the lookout for

real saints and Mahatmas...and would go many many miles to meet

one...He was looking for His Guru at this time...and was hoping that M

might be Him...)

as Yogananda arrived, He was a little deep in thought over that house

and His mother's death, which had been so painful, but going upstairs

found the Saint in communion with the Mother Kali...Sri Yoganandaji

was just going to leave, so as not to disturb M, but M said He would

be done soon, and that Mukunda, as Yoganandaji was known then, should

stay...

Mukunda was SO impressed with M's saintliness, and His obvious love

for and communion with Divine Mother Kali, that he asked M if He would

intercede for Mukunda with Divine Mother...Mukunda wanted M to ask Her

if She loved him...M agreed to do this...and Mukunda happily left for

home, where that evening, He spent hours in contemplation of Her...and

in the end She appeared to Him...He was overjoyed....and blown away,

and He asked Her if She loved Him...(also when a younger child Sri

Yoganandaji had been known to create the most beautiful Murtis of Kali

Ma for the Navaratri every fall...out of clay...His younger brother

recorded this...He never mentioned it Himself.)

The Mother replied: "Ever have I loved Thee and Ever shall I love

Thee!!"

next day, Mukunda ran excitedly back to M's place...but when He got

there, He pretended that nothing had happened and slowly dragged His

way upstairs...to ask M if He had talked with Divine Mother.

M exclaimed: "Impudent young Sir!!!Do you not think that i know that

the Mother appeared to you last night and that She told you that ever

had She loved you and ever would She love you??!!!"

Mukunda was totally impressed with this...you could tell right thru

His writing in the Autobiography...and took many lessons from M...thus

we see a deep connection between Sri Ramakrsna's Mission, Mother Kali,

and Paramahansa Yoganandaji...AND Ammachi...

Many are the Devotees of our Amma, i believe, who were introduced to

Divine Mother thru Paramahansa Yogananda's Self Realisation Fellowship

and His wonderful writings, poetry and prose, as well as chants...

and as we have discussed earlier, many are the devotees who feel that

Yoganandaji was preparing them for Amma....and that in fact He led us

TO Amma, and that really He is Merged with the Divine Mother...

So thus my explanations as to why i posted those pictures of our

Divine Mother Kali!!

i hope you enjoy them my dear ones!!! let me know what you all think!!

In Our Amma's Divine Love,

and in Her Service,

as ever,

Your own Self,

visvanathan
