Guest guest
Namah Shivaya, Last night in San Ramon I overheard Amma telling people around her about how people don't catch what she is telling them. She said that people heard ponnu-mone (darling son) as 'banana' and 'my daughter' as 'tomato'. She was laughing. Coincidence? I think not! The darshans have been going quite fast, and usually ending by about 1:15 am. Someone brought a double bass to be blessed, and someone else a pencil with which she was going to write an exam. A lot of people seem to be bringing food. Amma did finally satisfy my wife Prema's desire to be close to Amma, by asking my wife to scratch Amma's back. We had a nice darshan. I hadn't felt like going yesterday, since I was tired and feeling down, (we have an hour's drive) but I had promised my wife and kid that we would go, so we all went. I told Amma this, and told her that I felt better after reaching the Ashram, and Amma then smiled. I sometimes wonder what is the point of going to her, but then I thought that I would just go for the momentary peace and pleasure. Swamiji sang well. I especially liked 'Apaara Kripaalo' (O, one of boundless compassion) and 'Anaathi nidhane' (O, treasure of the orphaned). They are both available on cassettes. Hope you enjoy this update from San Ramon about our Anathi Nidhi.
