Guest guest
Blessings, Hello my name is Stacey. I am 24 years old, work as a massage therapist and Reiki healer, and reside in CT. I am very new to all of Ammachi's work and teachings. I first learned of her when I was at the book store looking up books on the Goddess actually. The book was called The Path of the Mother, and I found it to be very interesting. I just finished reading the book Amma, Healing the Heart of the World by Judith Cornell. I also have on of her books on Mandala's and I just love it! I never realized how interesting her life and work has been. I am amazed by the stories I have heard from others. I work with a woman who has meet Amma and has gone to her retreats. I am trying to learn as much as I can about Amma and am planning on attending one of the retreats when she returns to the US again. The strangest part is that when going through my dream journal I came upon a dream that I had many months ago with Ammachi in it. The dream made no sense to me at the time and just assumed that it was my mind sorting things out, but now it is all coming together. I hope to learn more about her in this group and look forward to meeting many new ppl. Thanks Goddess Bless )O( Stacey " Spiritual realization is the highest type of happiness that can be attained, and therefore, the price that you have to pay for it is also very high...to seek spiritual attainment is to die and be reborn." ---Ammachi
Guest guest
Namah Shivaya dear Stacey and welcome to what we sometimes call our "cyber satsang", a gathering to honor Amma with stories and songs (well, as best we can we "sing" together here!). Did you know Amma is scheduled to visit Ann Arbor, MI at the end of November (27-29)? Many people from the East Coast attend. Perhaps she will bless you with a way to receive her hug sooner rather than later. Glad you have joined us. Blessings to you. premarupa

Guest guest
Namaste Stacey! My name is Shelly. I also live in CT (milford). I met Amma in 2000 in NYC. It was really a life changing event for me. My children are hoping to meet her on her next trip here to the US as well. We were unable to go this year but watched her on tv and recieved darshan in that way. Which book on Mandala's do you have? It sounds interesting. Her biography is really good to read too. The stories in the back were wonderful for me to read as people shared their expericance meeting her. Nice to meet you! Guest guest
Where are you from in CT? I grew up in Fairfield but am now in Fairfield, Iowa, where Amma is coming next summer! > I'm from CT also - I met Amma in 1987, during her first US tour. > > It is so nice to see fellow New Englanders on this list! --
Guest guest
Is not Fairfield, Iowa, a hotbed of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi activity? Will the Maharishi's devotees show up to see Ammachi? Do the Amrit Kalash people still produce a hard-copy catalog? I see ads for their website everywhere, but I'd like an updated catalog on paper. -- Len/ Kalipadma On Fri, 09 Nov 2001 16:35:10 -0600 Rick Archer <rickhome writes: > Where are you from in CT?
