Guest guest
Namaste Does Amma say anything about practice of yoga postures, does she advise them to Her disciples? I would really appreciate the answers from the older disciples, because i was doing hatha-yoga for two years and i teach it and i was hoping it will bring me to God. And now i have doubts... Om Namah Shivaya. sasha
Guest guest
Namah Shivaye, I've started reading "On the Road to Freedom by Swami Paramatmananda" and he talks about the importance of meditation and yoga postures as well as the vegetarian diet. As I understand although Amma doesn't ask people to come to the aashram to do Hatha Yoga but is certainly recommended to the every spiritual seeker. I'm not sure if I replied your question but I thought of my sharing my reading with you. Guest guest
Estrella, It is my experience that hatha yoga is instrumental on the yogic path...what it can do is purify the nadis and nervous system. It can also improve concentration in preparation for meditation, etc. It purifies the physical, but is not an end in itself. It is a pathway.
