Guest guest
Many times i have been quiet here but today i feel like sharing some of the stories at San Ramone. here are few snippets of the speeches , some are modified in my words: Mother fills us all up with wonderful experiences each time we go to visit Her and through out the year. There was one talk by Shantamrita on " Mother takes 90% of our karma, leaving 10% behind. why not take all 100%, why leave 10%? Well the 10% is for us to face it and resolve it through our self-efforts through Meditation. It is for us to realize God." Amma also said " This is an age of suspision and fear. When someone smiles, some of us wonder why he/she smiles and when someone does not smile, we wonder why he/she did not." Amma also said "To be compassionate to the poor and needy. To keep giving. However, not to give when not needed. For example there was a teacher who encouraged every student to go and help the poor and needy. the next day the student asked every student what they did. The 1st one said " i helped the an elderly person". The second student said the same and so did the third. Now the teacher was puzzled and asked each one why the same answer. The students replied that the first student saw an elderly lady standing near the bus stop? Seeing her , the first student said that s/he could help her cross the road. But she refused. The second and the third student did the same. Now all three students decided to go pull her and drag her to the other side of the road in the name of help! Though she really did not need any help." Mother talked a lot about the September 11th attack. She said that the people who died in the tragedy were meant to, nothing can be done. It was their past actions/karma.......It is better to not know or remember our past actions because what if for eg.you come to find out or remember that it is your own wife who had murdered you in the previous birth. Dont blame God for it." Then Amma talked about vasanas. " . Our real nature is love, we are full of love. Heart never closes; it is our mind that focuses on hatred or anger or... that forms a mist around the heart. Our heart never closes. Our mind focus should shift to love. We should remember God in everything and in every action. " "Our heart should expand and expand until it is part of the universe. Through spiritual practices and helping poor and needy. Getting over the vasanas. Then there is no pain or suffering." Vasanas may pull us down but never lose faith in God. Anger, hatred are foreign to us. {They invade the mind .}here is a story: There was a teacher who wore false teeth. Once he and his students went for swimming in the river. When they dived into the water, the teacher's false tooth came off and got lost in the river. Next, everyone was searching for the false tooth and could not find it. Finally one boy ran to the pizza shop and bought a pizza? and put it on a hook and threw it into the river. Immediately the false tooth came and grabbed the food! That is how strong our vasanas are rooted. Even if you want to let it go you are under its grip. It is through incessant meditation and prayer to God we find the courage to get over it and stick our roots on God. " " Amma has no special place to dwell ; She dwells in your heart. The moment your focus is shifted to hate, fear, anger, she has no place in your mind and in your heart." "Dont blame others for your bad fortune. Once there were three men. They were testing to see who brought bad luck. On a rainy day?, the first man went into an almost dilapidating shed to see if the shed would collapse. Nothing happened. The second one went and same thing..nothing happened. The third guy went in and immediately the shed collapsed on him. The first two guys thought he brought bad luck. But Amma says that because of the past actions of the first two guys, the third guy underwent suffering. If anyone remembers the wonderful speech on Rama, Lakshman and Seetha please post it. I may not be express it . Also on Radha Krishna on love and pain of separation. At 6:00am she still as fresh as a flower with full of love, Divine Energy. She opens our hearts to everyone and turns us towards God and love for everyone and everything. May we carry our love and see everyone as our Amma. It was crowded and Amma is Amma, our Divine Mother. If only I could wake up sooner. She answers all our prayers , everytime we pray to Her with our hearts, She is there in some form or another. Yet, we are attached to Her physical form. She is our Divine Mother. Aum Amritheshwarye Namaha! with my Amma's love to all my brothers and sisters, -Deeptha GeoCities - quick and easy web site hosting, just $8.95/month.
