I am suspect of this statement and would like to know on what authority the individual who allegedly said it did so. Avram
Guest guest
If you start to analyse with your intellect such statements you get only irritated. Amma is a sort of saint who does much but her talks are not so elaborate and precise like Krihnamurti, Chinmayaananda, Osho Rajneesh or the like. I wouldn't bother so much about such statements. Even if such talk might be superficial nonsense a fact is that thru Amma a genuine divine current is blessing the people all the time. I think it is wiser to focus on the blessings rather than on a few words uttered. Some people want to believe that every word from Amma is divine nectar. I personally think this is a romantic eastern concept. If you love somebody everything they say is music in your ears. I asked Amma long ago directly: What is the role of the intellect in your path? Answer: It should be quiet. Certainly such answer doesn't make people happy who want to understand things. Ammas path is about selfless service, love and surrender to the Shakti. If you want to experience god or deeper layers of your consciousness your mind and intellect are a hindrance. I think many in this forum have had a very personal, tangible experience that "something" is being taken from them after seeing Amma. In my own case I don't know how many percent that was. Anyway I created quickly new stuff! Have you not experienced an inner realignment or heart centeredness yourself after seeing Amma? Guest guest
>"Mother takes 90% of our karma, leaving 10% behind. why not take all 100%, why leave 10%? Well the 10% is for >us to face it and resolve it through our self-efforts through Meditation. It is for us to realize God." They way I interpreted it, when the swamiji mentioned this in his talk that evening at the San Ramone center was that Amma takes away the better part of your karma on the Whole and comparatively you have to suffer through a very tiny portion of what you would actually have to go through, had it not been for Amma's grace. Hence the consequences that you face because of your karma are taken on by Her, and She leaves behind just enough to help you evolve spiritually and break the cycle at some point in time. So if you consider just the present and the future, (since what you are going through right now is probably the result of some past actions) the way you resolve the remaining 10% will go on to determine how long you have to keep facing the 10% of your actions :-) > If this were true each time we see Her, then we would have less than .0001 > percent left after a few darshans. I did not really look at it in this way till I read your posting (that it's a result of physically meeting Her each time), but even then essentially isn't that what's really happening. Obviously the term *few* is the whole point of the argument and how you resolve the 10% in-between darshans goes on to determine how many more of the *few* darshans you will actually need ;-) Regards, -Rema. _______ Get your free @ address at
