Guest guest
Just a quick sharing of a recent Amma dream I had last week... I dreamt I was in the New Mexico ashram (never been there, and doubt it looked like this, but that's where it was in the dream), and Amma was giving darshan. I was up on a balcony looking down at her (maybe more like the pictures I see of Amritapuri on the upper level to the right side). I was doing a lot of different sevas, and at some point she happened to be near by me and said to me something like "you're doing a lot of work" or "you're working a lot". In the dream I thought she was referring to my Seva. But on waking, I realized she didn't use the word Seva, she specifically said "work". Which I believe is a direct message about how much I'm working (not really surprising), and i think the suggestion that I don't need to work so much. She's been in my dreams quite often lately, which I consider to be quite a blessing, regardless of whether I get a "message" out of it or not. I think much of it is due to the fact that I usually read from Awaken Children or Satsang with Swami Paramatmananda before I go to bed... which helps to have me thinking of her as I fall asleep. Guest guest
Dear Connie, I'd like to offer an alternative interpretation to your dream, which may or may not resonate with your current waking work situation. If Amma mentioned to you that you were doing a lot of "work" in reference to Seva, then it could have meant that there was a lot of doership and/or expectation of acknowledgment or recognition involved in your tasks, instead of an offering of the fruits of your labors to Amma and a sense of acting as a conduit for the Shakti to act through you as opposed to you being the doer. How have you been performing your job in your daily life? Are you feeling burdened by all that's 'expected' of you? Maybe the message of the dream is to re-examine your inner motivations as you go about performing your work (or maybe not--just a thought.) I've found that taking just a few moments at my desk to mentally offer my work before I begin my workday sets up a whole different "feel" for me in the execution of my paperwork, and keeps my awareness of the present moment much more focused. Thanks so much for sharing your darshan dream--there's such inspiration for all of us knowing that the Divine guides us even as we sleep. Such protection; such grace! Guest guest
I don't know who wrote this, but it sounds to me like Kali made a visit to your dreams this particular evening. om amriteswarye namah kalika >Message: 7 > Tue, 5 Oct 2004 09:53:02 -0400 (EDT) > "Pranakca" <pranakca >Re: Re: Dream: Kitten-bhava > >Om Namah Shivaya! > >Hello brothers & sisters, >I had a dream too.
