HYDERABAD: “If a person is not content with life,

though being a millionaire, he is like pauper,” Mata

Amritanandamayi said delivering a religious discourse

at Mata Amritanandamayi Math on Friday.

Mata Amritanandamayi, popularly known as Amma, was

delivering the discourse as part of her four-day visit

to the twin cities that includes the Prana Pratishta

Mahotsavam of Brahmasthanam Temple. Over 4,000

disciples attended the meeting. People must accept all

that happens as the will of God and must not forget

what God has given them, instead of complaining about

what God has not given, Mata Amritanadamayi said.

The Brahmasthanam Prana Pratishta Mahotsavam began on

Friday at 6 am with dawn-to-dusk chanting of Lalitha

Sahasranama Archana and jyoti puja. Mata

Amritanandamayi performed the kalasa pratishta of the

Brahmasthanam Temple on the auspicious ‘muhoortam’ of

Mrigashira Nakshatra and Meena Lagna between 8.05 am

and 9.15 am.

The Brahmasthanam temple is distinguished by a unique

‘pratishta’ with images of Lord Shiva, Devi,

Ganapathy, serpent representing Muruga and Rahu

sculpted on the four sides of a single granite stone.

Later at 11 am Mata Amritanandamayi rendered bhajans

and delivered her discourse. This was followed by

‘darshan’ of her devotees that went on till late in

the afternoon.

Special pujas and homas including Maha Ganapathy homa,

Akshata homa, Sudarsana homa, Navaka kalasa puja,

Prasada sudhhi and Bhagavathi seva were performed on

Friday.

Later in the evening Mata Amritanandamayi rendered

bhajans again and delivered her discourse that was

followed by ‘darshan’ of her devotees.

As a part of the Brahmasthanam Prana Pratishta

Mahotsavam at Mata Amritanandamayi Math the chanting

of Lalita Sahasranama Archana and Lamp puja will be

conducted on Saturday from 6 am to 6 pm.
