Guest guest
Does anyone out there recognize from which of our bhajans the following English translated line comes? "Through discrimination alone the courageous one can tread on the path to the abode of eternal peace." Your help is dearly appreciated. I'm putting together my thesis on the bhajans. The line above was mentioned by one of the Co- researchers but she couldn't identify from which song it came. Aikya
Guest guest
Aikya, Amma does it again!!! I was just humming the song you want today- it is 'kadinnu kadai' - one of my favorites. The exact line you want is 'Dhiran orali vivekatma bodhal paramtatva vishranti margam gamikkum'. In one of the videos-bhakti i think- you will see Amma sing this song and break into tears. This song is fantastic- verses which are kind of taken from the upanishads.. for example -'Suryan jvalikka swayam chandra taram ellam Amme nin tejasil jvolikkum- is 'Na tatra Suryo bhati na chandra tarakam' which the Swamis chant when Amma walks into the hall -during the padapuja. This song is absolutely fantastic .. bala --- aikya <aikya wrote: > Does anyone out there recognize from which of our > bhajans the > following English translated line comes? > > "Through discrimination alone the courageous one can > tread on the > path to the abode of eternal peace." > > Your help is dearly appreciated. Guest guest
Thanks, Bala. Amalia also replied to me that it was the song in Volume 1, page 118. I am now in the office and the songbooks, of course, are home. Volume 1, page 118 is a song fashioned after Kena Upanishad. Not sure if it is the same one you name. I'll check from home. Thanks for replying.
