Guest guest
I've recently found out from my co-moderator that MA Center is rejecting an advertisement for the Sadhana Soulmates that I started, saying that they had some sort of "by-law" against it and that my co-moderator should speak to MA Center's attorney about it. I was wondering, has anyone else had the same experience when submitting an ad for the tour brochure this year? I thought that the brochure ads were for fundraising... Guest guest
Dear Tom, don't be disappointed. The divine mother has provided different playgrounds for different activities. In the past the MA Center has suffered some loss of it's working force due to the fact that young damsels attracted to the divine mother couldn't give their hearts entirely to the divine mother but found themselves attracted to men. Your ad might cause further drain...or give the impression that the Ashram is a place to meet... I might be wrong but I assume that you want to attract a suiting partner for you as well. I found mother to be not so supportive in such issue's. But if you sing, pray and chant just for the sake of bhakti your core energy will start to vibrate and fill your being with the scent of a lover of the divine. This scent will please the divine mother and fascinate women too. You can then choose whom you want to give your heart. If that seems out of reach you can at least do a little seva for mother and pray that she'll bring out the best in you.:-) I am from Germany and we have here a German Page dedicated to bring spiritually inclined soulmates together. By the way I couldn't find your group in the directory. greetings Lutz Ammachi, "tomgull" <tomgull@m...> wrote: > I've recently found out from my co-moderator that MA > Center is rejecting an advertisement for the Sadhana > Soulmates that I started, saying that > they had some sort of "by-law" against it and that > my co-moderator should speak to MA Center's attorney > about it. Guest guest
Hello there! I agree 100% with Lutz - very well said. You shouldn't take their refusal bad, step back and see from another perspective. I'm always trying to find other devotees of Amma in my city to form a cohesive satsang group (so far there's only 3 of us that I know) and in 1997-99 I was posting notices in Yoga centers, classifieds and such... imagine how many regional Sadhana Soulmate like (and more) groups there may be.. Anything that is in the tour brochure would almost be like M.A. Center's vouching for that patron, they have to be super cautious, how on earth could M.A. Center ever keep track of every small unafilliated group, being certain it is in accordance with what Ammachi is about? A certified Vedic Astrologer or Ayervedic Practitioner would be easy, but small groups can sprout like mushrooms. I think it is smart for them to keep some kind of limit there. Their refusal is not altoghether a rejection of your group either. And one more thing.. take Lutz's love advise too.. I was searching like a nut for other devotees, rejecting good people in my life, who were not devotees. With my whole heart I prayed to Divine Mother to send me some spiritual brothers & sisters, and She (long story ommitted) SHE opened my heart and eyes so that I could see Her beautiful children were already surrounding me, helping me, needing me.. devotees or no. With whole humility I say that one with proximity, in this lifetime, to Ammachi is rare yet Her darling children are uncountable! AMMA KI JAI! Guest guest
--Your ad might cause further drain... --or give the impression that the --Ashram is a place to meet... Actually, my group was created purely as an act of service and doesn't mention the ashram. Attending satsangs with various swamis of Amma, (while I've always stressed the single life), the swamis have always been quick to defend the householder life, playing down renunciate-life. so my reaction is suprise, not disappointment to the rejection of the ad, especially since there was no specific reason. If there was a rule against it, then the rule should have been explained kindly, rather than a straight out rejection. Doing it this way could be seen as behind-the-scenes manipulation and politics. Darshan programs attract all kinds of sadhaks, many non-ashramite types and in reality, people DO use programs such as Amma's darshan programs as sort of a meet-market. No, at this time, I am not seeking someone for myself as my sample ad in the group clearly states. As for the group not showing up in the directory, that's been a recent problem that I'm trying to fix. I think the group was shifted into a different category and I've had trouble getting it moved. It originally did show up in searches. The direct address is below if you'd like to review it: sadhanasoulmates
