Guest guest
Did Amma or the swami's mention anything about the solar eclipse last Monday? I read somewhere that during solar eclipses in India, they close the temples, but I also read somewhere that sadhana is more effective, or at least japa is more effective during a solar eclipse. Last weekend I had lost all my appetite and was in a constant state of deep meditation involuntarily (except for lots of naps) until Monday morning. Learning about the eclipse Monday morning on the radio seemed to explain the weird weekend that I had.
Guest guest
I had a strong reaction to this eclipse as well. Felt like the world had a very thick wall of illusion....I could actually feel it. Thoughout Monday, I felt very Kali like. Explosive, powerful surges of energy. Words I would speak felt like dragon flames of truth bursting forth tearing through veils of illusion. I ended the day crying through it all feeling like a Mother who could not give her children what they wanted for Xmas. Very strange day for me. Friends said I wasnt myself hahahaha. I am usually very peaceful and easy going. malati
Guest guest
On that day, Amma said there should be no eating between 5pm and 7pm. Dinner was not served at 6 as usual but only after bhajans. She also said it was not an auspicious day and I believe people gathered in the temple at 5 to chant the 1,000names. Guest guest
Namaste! Yes it was a very odd day for me as well. Very emotional and I noticed my children felt the same way. Now I know there is a Lunar eclipse this next monday or the day the next full moon is. Does anyone have information of what we should or should not do? Jai Ma!
