Guest guest
Namaste, Im going slowly trough all the old post on this list and I found this URL that seems to be a way to contact Amma via email. http://www.amritapuri.org/sevadesk/mailma.htm I was wondering if people here have used it recently, and if the email is actually gets to Amma. Has any one here ever received a written response from from Amma using this link? I assume that someone else would actually write the email response using Ammas answer. Is there anyway to contact any of the Swamis via email? My best regards to all. Om Namah Shivaya
Guest guest
I remember a particularly funny story that Judith Cornell told about trying to contact Amma using modern communication methods. Judith had gotten a publisher's interest in her biography of Ammachi and THEN realized that she had never gotten Ammachi's permission to write the book. She first tried telephoning organizers of Amma's tour in several cities that Amma was or would be visiting. One person at such a site suggested that she send a fax explaining what she wanted and it would be given to one of the Swamis to ask Ammachi. After three or four attempts like this, she realized that the only way to get Amma's permission was to go to Ammachi and ask her, which she did. By Amma's grace, anything is possible, but I would think there is less chance of getting through the dynamic buzz around Amma if you are not actually there. A prayer would probably work better than an email, in my opinion. Prayers don't depend on the availability of a computer with internet connection, don't have to be picked up, read and evaluated by someone who may not share your concern. Prayers just GO. Guest guest
I have to agree there is nothing like a direct line to Amma via prayer. And the best part is you don't need paper, a computer a telephone and you can do it anywhere at any time instantly. Jai Ma! Guest guest
Thanks for all the feed-back. I was just wondering if anyone here had tried it. I lost count of how many yeas have past with out me going to ask her for advice in words (via the line). Of course I would love to ask her a lot of things, verbally and receive an answer in the same way. Problem is, that you may get an answer that will only make sense years after, like it has happened to me. In my view, the best advice I have received from her is "follow your heart" which is great, but it does not really solve for me, the desire of being able to talk to her, as a few chosen ones can.
