Guest guest
I'm in the market for some Hindu devotional posters. I used to be able to purchase them in Little India here in Noo Yawk, but they seem to have become scarce. I can usually get some reasonably-priced posters from the ISKCON catalog, but these are predominently of Krishna and his pals. Shaiva and Ganapatya posters are rare, and they absolutely do NOT ever make available images of Kali, or even of Skanda. Can anyone suggest a mail-order resource of affordable posters (maybe of greeting cards or postcards, too)? -- Len/ Kalipadma ______________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Guest guest
Try Bombay Incense in Florida. I'll get their phone number at work today and see if they sell retail/mail order, as I work in a metaphysical bookstore. --- om === Nick
Guest guest
Len, I do have small posters that are like 3X5 that are for sale. I would need to run up and look to see what I have exactly. But the lady I work for might be able to help you. She buys her stuff from Singapore and gets a rather good deal on them. I do have hand made greeting cards that are made with leaves on the front that are handpainted with either Ganesha or other lovely images on them as well. I can email you photos if you would like to see them. Please contact Tara at tcs The company name is Sarvabhadra. We are in the process of getting a website up. She might be able to help you find just what you are looking for. Shelly Mommy to 5 CT
Guest guest
Len, The Shiv Shakti Peeth which just moved from, I think Elmhurst, to Main Street Flushing, right across from the Queens Botanical Garden, has a wonderful huge Devi calendar print for free/dollar donation. 718-445-0918. Guest guest
Bombay Incense phone number is 1-800-705-9995. They have Hindu posters; I just ordered some for our store. I think they sell both retail and wholesale. --om== Nick

I lived in D.C. and Maryland and used to look forward to my Saturday jaunts around the beltline to get a taste of India at his wonderful South Asian bookstore. After I lived in India for a semester, his bookstore was my home away from home. I bought many excellent CDs there, too. He also has a lovely selection of murtis. Jai Nataraj! ==- om-=== Nick

I get mine from Nataraj Books here in Virginia. The guy does mail-order, but it's best to call him for exactly what you're looking for. The posters I have were something like 2 for $5 and are about 12"x16". He literally has a huge stack of them, with many different configurations/scenes for the many gods and goddesses. I think there was a smaller size too, but can't remember. His website only lists books, but he sells all kinds of Indian stuff: http://users.erols.com/nataraj/ tom
