Guest guest
Amma allows everyone to come to her. That means that anybody who stays around after she takes the flight back to India will find him/herself surrounded by quite a variety of people. I studied Sanskrit and Vedanta between 1979 and 1982...lots of logic there. My latest realization is that everybody is a little crazy and in need of serious healing until self-knowledge is clear, at which point they are the proverbial person marching to a different drummer, as it were. Healing comes in the form we can receive it, in the form we are willing to receive it. Some people, desperately in need of emotional healing, can only take in logical arguments. Later they'll be ready for the heart explosion. Others who could really use more information and logical structure need to stay near Ammachi and saturate themselves with emotional nourishment before they can take in anything else. For some people it's a really big thing to give up a few hours to help out at one of Amma's center. Somebody else is able to directly work in the world to help the sick, the homeless, those suffering because of injustice and greed, to reform governments. Amma hugs all these different kinds of people and they all stay in her family. Like a good Mother, she encourages all of them to grow as fast as they are willing, to be the best they can be right now. Accepting people who are different from us is awfully hard. Nothing is as unknowable as the spiritual path of another person. One can know the Self more easily. Aikya
