Guest guest
Hi Rick, Interesting site, but I'm a little put off by the "I'm so much smarter than fundamentalists" tone of the writing. Like Mr. Matlock I was raised in the Nazarene Church, but unlike him I (at age 12) had my first experience of God's bliss there. I've been on a spiritual quest ever since. Some of those wonderful, simple people were among the best I've ever known. There I learned that God is no respecter of persons. It's the purity of the heart that God cares about, not all that mind stuff. As my very famous Mother always says, "Chitta Chora! Chitta Chora!" Guest guest
This is what Mother always shouts during the Krishna bhajans. "Steal the mind, Krishna, Steal the mind!" Chitta Chora! Sometimes it sounds more like "Te chora!" (to me) but it's actually "Chitta Chora!" The fundamentalists believe in "chitta chora" too, althought they don't express it in those terms. Here's one of the wonderful old choruses we used to sing when everyone was "blissed out" on Jesus. The windows of heaven are open The blessings are falling tonight! There's JOY, JOY, JOY in my soul Since Jesus made everything right. I gave up my old tattered garment; He gave me a robe of pure white! I'm feasing on manna from heaven, And that's why I'm happy tonight!
