Another example, is that according to the scriptures (which Amma has mentioned) there are various "auspicious" times to die, such as when the Sun in the north and during the bright half of the forthnight, etc, and that even (can't remember his name) laid on a bed of arrows after Arjuna shot him until the one auspicious day arrived to die. There's even the technique mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita about withdrawing all your senses into your heart and then allowing your spirit to exit through the crown chakra (can't remember all of it) as you die.
