Disappearance (?) of Amma's Speech

Dear Ones

 

Blessedly I received a full text of Amma's speech before it began

vanishing. What she said is in tune with recent discoveries in

gender studies in psychology and genetics as well as very ancient

traditional or indigenous views held around the world. For a woman

who spends most of her time hugging people, our Amma doesn't miss

much.

 

A few weeks ago, at the M.A. Center we had a slide presentation

recently showing pictures of the goddess around the world presented

by a woman who has made a personal study of this for 30-40 years and

has amassed 12,000 slides with pictures from every inhabited

continent. Going along with each image is the message....and it is

clearer the farther back you go in humna history...that woman creates

the world by birthing people who affect the world. For this she has

been revered by communites around the globe for thousands of years.

 

In times of want we think that aggression and greed will save the

day, just as the American president currently states with regard to

Iraq. We have now had a few thousand years of this approach, a small

period considering the long stretch of human history. Some say we've

been on earch for 500,000 years. Aggression and greed seem to be

causing quite a mess in fact, damaging the earth and leaving people

starving and homeless.
