Guest guest
Try to hang in there Robin. Unfortunately life is harder for some than others. I've had quite a few times of darkness in my life and I don't know how I made it through. I remember a time when I slept for 3 months on a hardwood floor in the corner of my aunt's one-room efficiency, thankful to have a roof over my head. I can make some practial recommendations: 1-stay positive= turn off the radio or TV when there's bad news or sad stories. Rent movies that are uplifting and avoid ones that are scary or tragic. If you're having a really bad day, eat very little or fast. During those times, if you have to eat, eat food someone else has cooked. 2-find a supportive community group. Go to any church or other positive atmosphere on a regular (at least weekly) basis. Unfortunately, local "satsangs" don't act like "sangha's" most of the time. Example: Here in the DC area with the lunatic sniper around, no one has suggested we get together for a special puja to pray to bring the killer to justice. Even if someone suggested it, chances are no one would make the sacrifice of time to do it, even though they don't like the idea of looking like a deer when pumping their gas. 3-Find out about your vedic astrology influences. Right now with the conjunction (think that's the word) of 7 planets, it's real bad for everyone. But if an astrologer can recommend chanting a particular mantra, it can help some acute problems, in addition to distracting your mind from life's problems. In my 5 years of going for darshan and applying Amma's teachings, I've watched all those 5 years people already living a higher lifestyle get more grace than me, and seen my life go from bad to worse. It's different for everyone. tom Ammachi, Robin Wilson <lilymoonjewel> wrote: > > Sorry somehow my message was cut off. Please send some help. I need love, light, and most of all ..Hope.
