Guest guest
Swami Amritaswarupananda Monday, October 14, 2002 9:46 PM Aum Amriteswaryai Namah Dear brothers and sisters, It was such a jubilant occasion for all of Amma's children when our most Beloved Amma was presented with the prestigious Gandhi King Award for Non-violence during the Women Spiritual/Religious Leaders Conference at Geneva. The award was presented to Amma at the United Nations General Assembly Hall (Palais des Nations) in Geneva. The Gandhi-King Award for Non-Violence is named after legendary freedom fighters Mahatma Gandhi and the American born Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Previous Gandhi-King award winners have included Nobel Prize honorees, Kofi Annan (Secretary General of the United Nations) and Nelson Mandela (the former President of South Africa). Jane Goodall, the world-famous British primatologist, won the Gandhi-King Award for Non-Violence in 2001 and personally presented the award to Amma today in recognition of the vast network of charitable institutions Amma has inaugurated throughout the world and Her personal efforts to awaken love among all people. Dear brothers and sisters, it is indeed a matter of National pride that Amma won this award. Given below is a draft which will serve as a sample for those who would like to send letters and emails appreciating Bawa Jain and Dena Merrium for giving the prestigious Gandhi King award to our most Beloved Amma. They are the ones who coordinated the Women's Spiritual and Religious Leaders conference in Geneva and the Millennium World Peace Summit in New York, 2000. Please encourage all of Amma's children to jot down a few lines, either by regular mail or email appreciating Mr. Bawa Jain and Ms. Dena Merriam for presenting this award to our Beloved Amma. Kindly do this as soon as possible. Devotees may print their name address and profession in the letters and emails they send. Given below is a draft which will serve as a sample for those of you who would like to send a letter of apprecaition. With love and prayers, Amritswarup P.S. With the growing International recognition of Amma's contribution to world peace and harmony through the transformation of individuals world over the M.A Math has decided to make Amma's 50th Birthday celebrations an International event. Guest guest
Aum NAmah Sivayah: For us, the children of AMMA all over the universe was this an occasion of jubilation when AMMA was awarded the Gandhi - King award for peace. When the world is becoming pieces and making into pieces in the name of cast, creed, religion and more over the power of ruling, AMMA is working single handedly to bring the world back to one piece through peace, radiating love, unconditional love to each and every living and non-living organisms of the universe through out. Other than AMMA who is more suitable to receive this award? We, the children of AMMA pray to AMMA to give us an occasion to witness that AMMA receives the Nobel Prize for Peace.Hope AMMA would not let us down adarl52357 wrote: Swami Amritaswarupananda Monday, October 14, 2002 9:46 PM Aum Amriteswaryai Namah Dear brothers and sisters, It was such a jubilant occasion for all of Amma's children when our most Beloved Amma was presented with the prestigious Gandhi King Award for Non-violence during the Women Spiritual/Religious Leaders Conference at Geneva.
