Amma's beautifull talk on Love , from Mata Amritandamayi selected teachings, " Children , don't wate the time you have been given by God. Take refuge in the Universal Mother. Only Mother loves us selflessly. To think that many people love us is a wrong notion ; their love is selfish. " Amma goes on with a story that implies, to the above story , where a father traveled with his daughter they came to a stop in a hotel, received service , next day as they where just about to leave the daughter told her father , look how nice these people where just at this moment , the clerk brought the bill, the father responded to his daughter this bill is for the love and service they rendered us. Their love is based on selfishness. " Amma says " Children , love is like this. The mutual love that people seem to show arises from selfishness. When a person goes against our wishes , we withdraw our love. Selfless Love flows only from God, the embodiment of Love . Know this and realize God. Properly utilize the Essence within.
